The Parthenon and Centennial Park-TN

The City of Nashville undertook the construction of a full-scale replica of the Parthenon the the 1897 TN Centennial Exposition. Made with Brick, wood lath, and plaster was to be just temporary but after the Centennial People wanted it to stay so they started reconstruction, a tornado took the roof off and construction was delayed. Athena-Goddess of wisdom stands 41'10". Nike-goddess of victory is 6"4" in Athena's hand.
